Monarca Minerals Inc: Announces Management Restructuring
Toronto, August 29, 2017 - Monarca Minerals Inc. (TSXV: MMN) ("Monarca" or the "Company") is pleased to report that it has appointed Carlos Espinosa as President and Michael Smith as Executive Vice President, Exploration of the Company. Allan Folk remains as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Carlos has been a director of the Company since 2016 and has been instrumental in the Company's government and community initiatives in respect of its flagship Tejamen Project in Durango Mexico. Michael previously held the title of President and has been key in putting together the Company's exploration plan for Tejamen and its other projects and in evaluating potential property transactions. This realignment of the Company's management structure better reflects the responsibilities being assumed.
At the annual general and special meeting of shareholders of the Company held on August 22, 2017, the incumbent directors, being Allan Folk, Frank Hogel, Carlos Espinosa and James McVicar, were re-elected for another term.
