Ecometals Limited Announces Extension of Warrants

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire - Sept. 18, 2012) - Ecometals Limited (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:EC) (BERLIN:GDQ) (FRANKFURT:GDQ) announces that it will extend the exercise dates of 926,576 warrants currently exercisable between October 7, 2012 and October 17, 2012 at prices ranging from $0.23 to $0.40 per share issued pursuant to various private placement financings which closed between April 7, 2011 and January 12, 2012. The warrants' expiry dates will be extended for a further 18 months from their existing dates. There has been no change to the warrants' exercise prices.

The amendment to the term of the warrants is subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
