Kagara Limited - Appoints Experienced Financial and Commercial Professionals to Senior Team

Sydney, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Kagara Limited (ASX:KZL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Warme to its Executive Committee as Executive General Manager, Finance.

Mr Warme, who has 20 years of experience in commercial and finance roles, primarily in the mining sector, joins Kagara from a senior role in Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) where he was most recently General Manager, Business Evaluation based in London. Paul comes to Kagara from this leading mining house with a strong background in capital investment and project reviews, fiscal governance, and corporate transactions.

Recently, he was responsible for executing a number of transactions to raise proceeds following the acquisition of Alcan Inc. Among others, this included executing Rio Tinto's first IPO since its merger with CRA in 1996, in the form of Cloud Peak Energy Inc (NYSE:CLD).

Prior to this appointment, Mr Warme held a number of other senior commercial positions within Rio Tinto's corporate function and its Industrial Minerals business. Before joining Rio Tinto in 1997 he held a management position within the private education sector and a financial accounting role with Dreyers Inc (Nestle).

In addition to Mr Warme's appointment, Kagara is pleased to announce the promotion of Cameron McLean to General Manager Commercial and Company Secretary, further reinforcing the Company's governance and knowledge base in this area. Mr McLean has been with Kagara for six months and this promotion is in recognition of his significant contribution and the skills he brings to the finance and commercial team.
